Charleston, Savannah & Jekyll Island Bus Trip

Charleston, Savannah & Jekyll Island Bus Trip

Come with us and visit some of the most beautiful American towns known for their rich history, well-preserved architectures and beautiful gardens - Charleston, Savannah and Jekyll Island!

April 1-7, 2017 $1399.00 pp double

In Charleston, tour the famous historic district and experience the true Southern Charm and romantic atmosphere of the cobblestone alleys, historic houses, Churches, gardens and fascinating museums.  Spend some time exploring in the City Market area of downtown.

The magnificent Magnolia Plantation & Gardens in Charleston invite an escape from the everyday, into a world of azalea-lined pathways, sprawling live oaks, and cypress-tupelo swamps patrolled by alligators and egrets.

Arriving at Jekyll Island, enjoy a tram tour of the historic district and tour the "cottages" of the rich and famous.  A very special treat is dinner at the Jekyll Island Club, a Victorian landmark nestled amid live oaks in a setting of unspoiled natural beauty.  Located on Jekyll Island is The Georgia Sea Turtle Center, a hospital for ill and injured sea turtles, where guests can view the patients and witness their recovery process. While visiting the Center, guests will learn both about sea turtles as well as marine life and our sensitive coastal eco-system.

Head to another one of the Golden Isles, St. Simons Island, for a tour with a local guide.  Lunch is on your own in the St. Simons Pier Village area and trust me, you will want to try the fresh caught Georgia shrimp!

In Savannah we tour the historic district which is arranged around Spanish-moss-swathed garden squares and boasts examples of just about every architectural style of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and the cobbled waterfront on the Savannah River is edged by towering old cotton warehouses.  Take a tour of the Lowcountry on an Eco Adventure Cruise plus a visit to the Savannah Bee Company.

We end the trip with a visit to Beaufort and tour the historic district and Parris Island Marine Base.
