Coastal Wilmington, NC Eyre Bus Trip

Coastal Wilmington, NC Eyre Bus Trip

From the charm of its moss-draped, brick-lined historic district to the evolving north-end of its river district, there are new things to discover around every corner!

April 19-23, 2020   $1149.00 per person double

In this beautiful port city, you’ll love Wilmington’s riverfront, historic neighborhoods and everything in between. A guided tour of Bellamy Mansion will lead you through all five levels of the mansion and the first floor of the original slave quarters followed by time on own for lunch and shopping in the Riverfront District before a Trolley Tour of the famous historic district filled with authentic southern hospitality.  You will also tour the Wilmington Railroad Museum where you can enjoy history on the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, scale models and a full-size steam engine. Stroll through the beautiful Airlie Gardens as you take in the walking paths, formal gardens, seasonal blooms, live oaks, and contemporary sculptures.  How about a winery tasting at Noni Bacca Winery before dinner at the Pilot House Restaurant. Step back in time and let history come alive through the crew's stories on your tour of the USS North Carolina which was deployed during World War II. Also, explore one of the last remaining plantations in the North, Poplar Grove, along the Gullah Geechee Corridor.  After dinner on your last evening, enjoy a sunset cruise on a catamaran along the Cape Fear River.
