Coastal Trains of New England Eyre Bus Trip

Coastal Trains of New England Eyre Bus Trip

October is the best time of the year in New England for fall foliage. Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts have a lot in store for you!

October 13-18, 2019     $1359.00 per person double

It's time for some leaf-peeping in New England!  We overnight in Boston the first night and head to Maine the next morning on Amtrak's Downeaster Train.  We meet our local guide in Maine for a narrated driving tour of the coastal villages of Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. Drive past sandy beaches and rocky coastline, past George Bush estate at Walker's Point. The next day we travel to New Hampshire and the Conway Scenic Railway. On the Notch Train we view some of the most dramatic natural scenery in the East as we travel through spectacular Crawford Notch. Later we visit the authentic, old-fashioned Fadden's General Store with an on-site maple sugar house - you can tour the maple museum and sample their goodies. The next day we travel to Winnipesauke and enjoy a one-way ride on Lake Winnipesauke which brings us to the port of Wolfeboro, the Oldest Summer Resort in America. Tour the Wright Museum about the World War II years with both war exhibits such as aircraft and tanks and exhibits from everyday life.  Later, we board the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad for a two-hour trip along the lake while eating Harts Hot Roast Turkey carved at your table with all the trimmings. Next day, we travel to the Berkshires.  We visit the "picture postcard" town of Stockbridge and Norman Rockwell's home town, along with a stop at the BSO's summer home in Tanglewood.  See the Berkshire Cottages; the summer homes of the American Aristocracy and much more before returning home the next day.
