On your way to New England, overnight at Foxwoods Resort hotel in Mashantucket, CT.  The first stop in Maine is their southernmost lighthouse in Cape Neddick.  Continue through Ogunquit to Kennebunkport to Bar Harbor. In Bar Harbor, sit back and relax on a nature cruise and take in the breathtaking views from the top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park. Highlights include the stunning Loop Road, the summit of Cadillac Mountain, the crashing waves at Thunder Hole and the quiet beauty of the inland park scenery. Your lobsterbake dinner is tonight (landlubber options available) in a casual setting overlooking Hulls Cove, near Bar Harbor. Return to your hotel in Rockland. In the morning, attend the 72nd Annual Maine Lobster Festival on the waterfront featuring arts and crafts, seafood, entertainment and 20,000 pounds of lobster! Make your way to Sturbridge, MA for your last evening - dinner included.

August 1

Full breakfast buffet at the hotel before departing for Maine. First stop is Maine's southernmost lighthouse in Cape Neddick. Continue through Ogunquit and into Kennebunkport for lunch on own in the charming little port with its quaint waterfront boutiques, restaurants and art galleries. Meet your guide for a narrated tour of Kennebunkport. Drive past the sandy beaches and rocky coastline, past the George Bush estate at Walker's Point, hear the history of these shipbuilding towns and the legend of the Wedding Cake House. Visit the seaside Franciscan Monastery with its beautiful landscaping, outdoor shrines and chapel. Sit back and enjoy the ride through Maine's scenic villages en route to Rockland, the Lobster Capital of the World. Check into the Trade Winds Inn across from the harbor front for two nights. Dinner included this evening.

A deluxe continental breakfast at the hotel
This morning travel to Bar Harbor and enjoy a two hour nature sightseeing cruise on Frenchman's Bay aboard the Acadian. Next, travel to downtown and enjoy free time in Bar Harbor to explore the shops, boutiques and lunch on own at one of the numerous restaurants. This afternoon, meet your local guide for a tour of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Highlights of the tour include the stunning Loop Road, the summit of Cadillac Mountain, the crashing waves at Thunder Hole and quiet beauty of the inland park scenery. Your Maine Lobsterbake dinner tonight is in a casual setting overlooking Hulls Cove near Bar Harbor. (Grilled steak and baked haddock dinner options are also offered). Return to your Rockland hotel.

Deluxe continental breakfast at hotel
Attend the 72nd Annual Maine Lobster Festival (9:30am-2:00pm). The annual parade starts at 10;00am and you'll have a birds-eye view of bands, marching units, colorful floats, drill teams, vehicles and much more. At the last Lobster Festival nearly twelve tons of delicious lobster was prepared in a huge steamer on the shore (that's a show in itself!) In addition to lobster, all varieties of seafood and traditional summer fair food is available for purchase -cash only! Feasting and fesivities also include arts & crafts, music and entertainment. Take a stroll on the boardwalk or a self-guided tour of the Maine Lighthouse Museum at your leisure.
2:00pm - board the bus and make your way to the Sturbridge, MA area staying at the newest lodging facility the Publick House has to offer for tonight - The Tyliar House. Dinner included this evening at the Main Inn.
