Highlights include: narrated tour of Halifax including The Citadel National Historic Landmark, Alexander Graham Bell Museum featuring the largest collection of of his inventions, travel the scenic Cabot Trail through Cape Breton Highlands National Park, travel by ferry to Prince Edward Island with a narrated tour of Charlottetown, a musical performance at the Confederation Center for the Arts, visit the Anne of Green Gables Home, lobster dinner, travel the nine-mile-long Confederation Bridge across the Northumberland Strait, Hopewell Rocks along the Bay of Fundy, and Peggy's Cove - one of the most photographed fishing villages in the world.

Day 1

Arrive in Halifax and meet your Tour Manager in the hotel lobby at 6:00pm for dining suggestions.

Day 2

After breakfast our local guide will join us for a tour of Halifax. See the beautiful waterfront, and a visit to The Citadel, the restored British fort which is now a National Historic Landmark.

Day 3

Today is a visit to Cape Breton Island which was originally settled by the Loyalists from New York State. We'll also visit one of Canada's most popular attractions, The Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site in Baddeck, Nova Scotia, overlooking beautiful Bras d'Or Lake.

Day 4

Spectacular scenery is the highlight of the day as you travel along the Cabot Trail. Spend the day exploring much of this famed road in Cape Breton Highlands National Park, which winds through charming communities and breathtaking scenery. We'll enjoy a relaxing picnic along the way.

Day 5

We leave Nova Scotia today and take a ferry to Prince Edward Island, home of Lucy Maud Montgomery, who wrote the book Anne of Green Gables. Our two-night stay on PEI gives us ample time to explore this quaint part of Canada. Later, enjoy a musical performance at the Confederate Centre for the Arts.

Day 6

Today we begin with a tour of Charlottetown. A visit to the Anne of Green Gables home is one of the highlights of this tour. This evening, savor the local cuisine with a tasty lobster supper.

Day 7

After breakfast, we leave PEI via the nine-mile-long Confederation Bridge. Take in breathtaking views as you drive along the Bay Fundy, stopping at one of the province's most popular and intriguing attractions, the Hopewell Rocks. Later, we continue on to our home this evening in the city of Saint John, New Brunswick.

Day 8

Today, cross the Bay of Fundy by ferry to Digby, Nova Scotia, the "Scallop Capital of the World." Make a stop in the small town of Terence Bay to visit the Heritage Park dedicated to the S.S. Atlantic, the luxury steamship which ran aground in 1873. Visit the picturesque fishing village of Peggy's Cove. This sleepy town is famous for its weathered granite rocks, beautiful ocean waters and it's crowning feature, Peggy's Cove Lighthouse. A special farewell dinner is planned for tonight.

Day 9

Travel home. Transfers will be arranged to the airport in Halifax for flights home today.
